As I embark on my final day as Principal of East Hall Middle School, I am reflecting on the greatest three years I could have ever had as an administrator. Many of our students, I had the pleasure of knowing since my time in elementary school. To see them grow into young teens has really been a Blessing to me. They all remind me of my own children.
We have had many challenges over this time that are not considered normal, but through it all, we made it. These students and faculty fought the fight that brought us through with a victory in the end. Along with that, even with the challenges of returning to a normal school year, our students continued to fight, gain respect, and grew into great humans that I have no doubt will transform them into get teens and even better adults.
I am proud of this generation of students. They are quick to ask questions in trying to understand the concepts of life and if they don’t understand, they don’t and won’t partake. They are firm in attempting to do it their way and not the same way as society thinks things should be done. Who knows, they might be right in some things. All I know is that my heart has been Blessed by the young smiles I have seen for the last three years.
The good morning greetings, the bumping of the knuckles, the high fives, the occasional hugs along with some tears, all make me care for them and their lives even more. It is my continual prayer that God continues to Bless them and nurture them in a way that only HE can do.
I will truly miss you all. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child’s life and journey. These are special times that I will never forget
